This year I turned 29. Yes, last year of my twenties and goodbye to that glowing 20-something year old skin, right? WRONG! Skincare has always been important to me, but since turning 29 I have been trying to find a full skincare routine that actually works — and one I will actually stick with! I’m ashamed to admit that I still sometimes fall asleep with my makeup on – big mistake – HUGE!
As a child, I remember watching my mom go through her skincare routine when getting ready for bed and I remember being in awe of all of the steps! But, if you’ve ever seen my mom, you probably noticed she has amazing skin, so she must be doing something right!
The one crucial step my mom always shared with me was hydration. After living in Denver for 5 years, I can firmly say she was not wrong! The dry climate and sunshine really do a number on my skin, and even after just a few hours outdoors, I can actually see my skin get so dry and all my fine lines start to come out. Nothing ages you faster than dehydrated skin, let me tell ya!
So, I went on a quest to find the best hydrating cream that would help with anti-aging and reverse the effects that dryness has on my skin. I bought one of the more expensive creams on the market, I bought some cheap ones, some medium priced ones, and then I read the Good Housekeeping study about Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream.
The study found that after 10,300 lab experiments, Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream crushed the competition. It outperformed 10 competitors, including one of the much pricier ones that has a price tag of $440 (yeah, no thanks.)
Not surprising to me, since I remember seeing my mom use Olay products before – and my mom doesn’t waste her time with products that don’t work!
My advice to all of you is to start taking care of your skin as early as possible. Make sure you’re using a cream like this one to keep your skin hydrated and curb some of the effects of aging. Especially if you spend time outside, you have got to give your skin what it needs!
Most people don’t start taking care of their skin until so much damage is done. And even then, they don’t know what to use or how to start undoing the damage! One of the most effective (and easiest!) ways you can reduce signs of aging on your face is to moisturize.
I can see it right away – when my skin is tired and dull-looking, the intense hydration of this cream instantly brings it back to life. My skin feels and looks smoother and brighter.
Have any of you added a moisturizing/anti-aging cream to your skincare routine? I’d love to hear your experience, especially if you also use Olay Regenerist! Be sure to leave a comment.
